Android 7.0 Nougat Update Have Started Hitting Galaxy Tab S2

In 2016 T-Mobile, Verizon, and Sprint had issues on updating Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 to Android 7.0 Nougat, but the latest good news coming from the company has it that the issues have been fixed successfully as four out of four 'Big Four' carriers have the new software available at this point.

These means that the update comes a bit late but that doesn't mean it's no more worth using, after all, Nougat first came out in August of last year. But at least one thing is clear now: if you own a Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 purchased from one of the leading US carriers, that software version is definitely on its way to you.

The AT&T updates arrived as an OTA(Over The Air) update as has a capped data of 1.1GB download. After applying it you'll have the May 1, 2017, security patch level, which is, unfortunately, one month behind right now. As usual in these cases, we expect it to be a staged rollout, so don't panic if your AT&T Tab S2 hasn't shown you the update notification yet - it should do that in the next few days.
